FUN OBSERVANCE OF THEME 'PRESERVATION OF FOOD' AT MC DONALD'S
As an extension to their learning of the theme, ‘Preservation of Food’, the students of grade 5 recently visited McDonalds. The visit enabled them to understand that cold storage helps in long-term storage of perishable vegetables. They were escorted to the cold storage room and shown the various food items preserved there like tomatoes, eggs, mayonnaise and cheese. The students keenly observed the different products and enquired about the use of the product and the method of preserving it. Proper temperature and humidity plays important role to keep the produce in good condition, and thus, they learnt about the importance of a cold-storage. It was a great learning experience for all of them.
MAHIR WINS THE NOIDA OPEN ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2018
We heartily congratulate the grade 3 student of Presidium Noida - Mahir Chauhan for proactively participating and winning in the 300 Meter Under-8 Category of 2nd Noida Open Roller Skating Championship 2018. Organised by Noida Roller Skating Association at Noida Stadium, the grand championship witnessed participation of around 25 schools of Noida and NCR.

PRESIDIANS EXPRESS GRATITUDE TO ALL MOTHERS ON MOTHER'S DAY
To honour the person who strives to explicitly make the world much better place for them, students of Presidium Noida recently celebrated Mother’s Day with full zest and fervour. They dedicated a heart touching song to their mothers and presented a wondrous skit depicting the incredible role of a mother. Yet another sparkling dance performance took everybody’s breath away. Not only that, to surprise their mothers, the children carved out their own masterpieces filling in love besides colours in them. From attractive photo frames, greeting cards, decorative pieces to bookmarks, paper bags and personalized write-ups, the list was endless. They were also taught few life skills by their teachers so that they can extend their helping hands to their mothers in daily chores. The responsible Presidians pledged to always help and support their mothers in the best possible manner!

Presidium Noida strongly believes that Chess makes a student wiser and clear-sighted and when we got the opportunity to host the District-Level Chess Championship, it was a big platform to promote this beautiful board game amongst our students. Students from various schools of Noida such as DPS, Shiv Nadar, Apeejay, Amity, Bal Bharti, Indus Valley, Lotus Valley, Somerville, Gyanshree and Sapphire gathered under one roof to unleash their talent in Chess. The tournament was divided into 4 categories - Under 9 Girls, Under 9 Boys, Under 13 Girls and Under 13 Boys.
The august gathering included chief guest Mr. Surinder Chauhan (UPCA Secretary), Ms. Priyanca Ghosh (Head of School), Dr. Yashveer Singh (Presidium Franchise Owner) and the our sponsor of the day, Mr. Anuj Talwar. The tournament was a 6 round Swiss league with time control of 45 minutes per player without increment. Parents and teachers encouraged and applauded the promising champions for using their own strategies in the game and making the game quite nail-biting till the last minute.
We heartily congratulate our grade 3 student Aarini Bhandari for winning in Under 9 Girls category and getting selected for the Under 9 UP State Level Chess Championship 2018, wherein 20 schools participated with 150 children.
ASSEMBLY ON BUDDHA PURNIMA SPREADS RAYS OF DIVINITY AT PRESIDIUM
To invoke the divinity and blessings of Lord Buddha in our students' lives, a special assembly on the occasion of Buddha Purnima was recently conducted at Presidium, Noida. The Presidians presented beautiful performances on the life and teachings of Lord Buddha and filled the ambience with a unique kind of tranquillity. Filling the hearts of our young philanthropists with the essence of humanity and selfless service, the assembly was a soulful experience for all!
POEM RECITATION COMPETITION BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN PRESIDIANS
There is nothing more pleasing to our ears than recitation of poems by little children that touch our heart. Recently, Presidium Noida 31 organized an intra class recitation competition for grades 1 to 3. The learners recited a spectrum of poems confidently and expressively on stage. In poetry recitation, the students were able to use the words to give a meaning to the poem, but their voice, volume, inflexion, pitch, pauses and speed contributed to the entire recitation experience as well. Their passion and early expression were flawlessly enhanced through this exercise.

Presidium believes in spreading awareness about the unique and varied culture of India through a medley of events that are organized from time to time. Keeping this holistic approach in view, a cultural event in collaboration with Spic Macay was recently organized in the school premises. Eminent classical practitioner, Ms Swati Sinha ji kindly consented to preside over and was warmly welcomed by everyone. Young Presidians presented a melodious welcome song. Swati ji then gave a spectacular Kathak performance. The students were mesmerized and inspired to see her scintillating performance. She addressed the students and shared that dance is a beautiful way to express emotions, thoughts and balance the energy within.
ARTISTIC PRESIDIANS OUTSHINE AT ON-THE-SPOT PAINTING COMPETITION
We at Presidium School, thrive to imbibe all the possible skills through which the students can lead the world better. Our young learners recently participated in ‘On The Spot Painting Competition’ wherein the Presidians transformed a series of small things into visual impressions on environmental themes. The talented participants vent to their imagination and aesthetic exploration that created magical impressions on the canvas. They depicted the agony of the earth, the catastrophe that we are so ignorant and the steps that made a difference. The canvas beautifully exhibited the commitment to bring a change.
EARTH DAY: PRESIDIANS URGE ALL TO FIND WAYS TO SAVE MOTHER EARTH

To empower our students so that they can care and endeavour to save the condition of Mother Earth, we constantly take up activities to help the little leaders grow. Considering this responsibility, a special assembly on the Earth Day was recently conducted at Presidium, Noida. The gathering was a festival of the ways, in which the school has tried to save the earth. The celebration was initiated by the grade 6 students, who shared the ways that helped them save the environment. These young trailblazers showcased the importance of saving electricity, the three vital Rs, the adverse impact of plastic and the benefits of composting. Thereafter, they tapped their feet on a fun-filled 'nature’s song' and pledged to set the benchmark for the rest of the world!
