SCIENCE WEEK: EXPLORING THE TECHNOLOGIES OF TOMORROW!
‘I Hear, I Forget. I See, I Remember. I Do, I Understand.’ These lines truly explain the importance of science and also the idea that is followed by us at Presidium. Science is a way of helping the brain grow in finding new facts and help us defeat our curiosity of how the world develops and works today. To explore and celebrate ‘The Power of Science’ - Science Week was organized for students of grades 4-7. Brainstorming sessions through Quiz and challenging the understanding of the natural world was one of the highlights. The level of enthusiasm was seen while working with experiments by the presentation of some working and non working models like Rain water harvesting, Types of simple machines, Windmill, Active Volcanoes, Solar panels, Air-- Showing different properties, Vacuum cleaners, Hydraulic pump, Human body, pollution. The event opened young minds to wonderful milestones of science and also helped students understand the importance and relevance of science for the future.
PRESIDIANS ADMIRE THE ARCHITECTURAL BEAUTY OF HUMAYUN'S TOMB
India is home to many fantastic architectural wonders that have drawn travellers from all across the world. One such architectural beauty can be found in the heart of New Delhi: Humayun's Tomb. With an aim to make learning more interesting, students of grade 3 visited this monument where they explored its various architectural features that make this tomb so significant to India. It is also the first garden tomb to have ever been constructed in the Indian subcontinent. Students were mesmerized to see the serenity and beauty of the site. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
PRESIDIANS TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

25th November is celebrated as the ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women’. Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in our world. Presidians of grade 4 to 7, together with their teachers gathered to create a heart, the symbol of love, as a means of promoting a positive message and locked arms in solidarity to collectively represent their rejection of domestic abuse. Students carried out various initiatives including art work like poster making, role-play activities to raise the respect for each gender. The aim of these initiatives was to raise the students’ awareness of domestic abuse and the importance of respectful communication within relationships.
PRESIDIANS PAY THEIR RESPECT TO GURU NANAK ON 'GURPURAB'
‘Satguru Nanak Pargetya, miti dund jag chanan hoya…’
This beautiful string of words is for the praise of Guru Nanak Dev, who enlightened the world with his sageness. Presidium Noida took utmost gratification in celebrating birthday of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism. He and his life is lesson for whole mankind. In honour of Guru Nanak ji, our little Presidians presented ‘gurubani’ and edified the path to salvation. It was followed by skit which presented values of Nanak Dev. Dance and music performances added to the divine energy in the atmosphere. Our academic head highlighted the true essence of Gurpurab. The apex was to see students meditating and showing devotion to Gurudev and chanting 'Satnaam Vaheguru' together.
PRESIDIANS SEEK THE BLESSINGS OF ALLAH ON THE FESTIVAL OF EID

Focussing on the theme of 'kindness', Presidium Noida commemorated the birthday of Prophet Mohammed and celebrated the pious festival of Eid. On this auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Milad, students presented an extraordinary programme. The show commenced with IBAADAT of ALLAH. It was followed by qawwali, dance performance and role play. At the end, our School Head enlightened our students with the preachings of Prophet Mohammad and told the importance of kindness and love. At the end, students wished everyone Eid Mubarak in the traditional way. The glory of the festival made everyone feel the blessings of Allah.
SPELLATHON: PRESIDIANS IMPROVE THEIR VOCABULARY AND GRAMMAR
'The limits of my language are the limits of my world'. Language is a colossal medium to convey one's intention and imagination. But for Presidians, limit is not a frontier rathers it is horizon. Accentuating upon this conviction, Presidium Noida organised Spellathon competition for the students of grades 1-3. The aim was to strengthen and build vocabulary and improve pronunciation. Participants were shortlisted from the first round, Spell Bee, who further participated in final stage. The last stage comprised of four rounds-jumble words, complete the word, form small words and identify the word. The competition saw healthy competitiveness and motivated them to excel in life. The winner was presented with a trophy while the dedication and hard work of all the participants was appreciated and applauded.
PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO BRING A CHANGE THIS CHILDREN’S DAY
If you look at the world with a child’s eye, the beauty increases manifolds’.
We celebrate the spirit of childhood in Presidium throughout the year. However, it is Children’s Day when we embrace the journey throughout the year. It is merrymaking where each adult cherishes what these tiny tots provide. The teachers recited rhymes invoking the child within each one of us. Various interesting activities like Rangoli making, card making,clay modelling,flower arrangement were organized wherein students happily displayed their talent. A heart touching skit portrayed the childhood that suffers from child labor and poverty. The students pledge to become leaders of tomorrow and making a difference for a better future.
YOUNG PRESIDIANS CREATE AWARENESS ON CANCER WITH SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

To commemorate National Cancer Awareness Month, Presidium Noida 31 recently celebrated National Cancer Awareness Day. On this occasion students of grade 7 marched in the school holding placards and raised slogans on Cancer awareness. A skit was also performed by the students of grade 7 which put across the message strongly and clearly on how important it is to consume protein rich food and engage in regular exercise to keep our body healthy because as they say a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. The initiative taken up by school was highly appreciated by all.
DIWALI CELEBRATION ENTHRALLS YOUNG PRESIDIANS
It is during our darkest moments that we must focus on light. Diwali is one such event which is celebrated with the quintessence of emitting fears that gobble up our energy just like darkness. Presidium Noida 31 commenced the special assembly with the torch of their ethos and spirit. The students embraced the occasion with their mesmerising dance performance dedicated to Lord Ganesha. This was followed by a nukkad natak which rushed the stance of our learners against firecrackers. Melodious voice of the choir soothed the aura with spellbinding gig. Towards the end of the assembly, students took out a rally shouting slogans against the use of firecrackers and saving environment from air and noise pollution. The entire school came together as a family and tasted the essence of festivities together.
WORLD KINDNESS DAY:INCULCATING VALUES OF COMPASSION & BENEVOLENCE
Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love. Kindness is the quality of being polite and considerate towards others. To inculcate these values of kindness among students Presidium Noida recently celebrated "World Kindness Day" with great fervor and enthusiasm. Students of grade 5 conducted an assembly with an aim to spread kindness all around us and to understand the meaning of kindness. Students made posters, cards and presented inspirational quotes. Through a dance performance students showed how we can be kind and compassionate. They also presented a skit showing that the joy of giving is much greater than that of receiving and if we are kind to everyone kindness gets us closer to God and renders inner peace. Towards the end, students took a pledge to be polite, friendly and helpful to everybody.
