PRESIDIANS COLOUR THE CORRIDORS IN FESTIVE SPIRIT ON DIWALI
Marking the happy return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after fourteen years' exile, Diwali is one of the most colourful, sacred and loveliest festivals of India. To celebrate this festival of lights with great joy and enthusiasm, a special assembly was organized by the students of Presidium, Noida recently. The whole school wore a festive look with beautiful diyas, rangolis and lanterns, adorning the corridors and the assembly hall in bright colours. The young Presidians talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students to the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines on being safe while bursting them. Showcasing the exquisite spirit of Diwali through a mesmerising dance performance, the students pledged not to play with fireworks on this festival.
PRESIDIANS OF GRADES NUR & PREP SHINE AT SHOW & TELL COMPETITION
To showcase the presentation skills of our toddlers, a 'show and tell competition' was organized recently for students of grades nursery and prep at Presidium, Noida 31. This simple activity engaged the students in a fun-filled way and they faced their classmates with a particular item to tell information about it including where they got it from, what it is used for and how it works. The benefits of show and tell are mainly to teach young students about the skills of public speaking as well as that of audience participation and cooperation. It helps in confidence building too. The competition helped the little Presidians to gain confidence and improve their oral skills. The way the children presented themselves and spoke with immense confidence was noteworthy.
PRESIDIANS EXCITEDLY CELEBRATE THE JOYOUS FESTIVAL OF DUSSEHRA
Celebrating Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana, Dussehra marks the culmination of the nine-day Navratri celebrations. It is seen as the victory of good over evil and to observe this blissful festival, our young Presidians from School Noida organized a special assembly on this auspicious occasion. Conducted by students of grades 1 to 3 with great zeal and enthusiasm, the assembly began with enlightening the audience about facts related to Dussehra. This was followed by students speaking on the significance of Dussehra and how it is celebrated in different parts of India. A beautiful rhythmic Hindi poem was recited by a student to give a vivid description of this festival. The event was a learning experience for all about our rich Indian culture and values.
INTRA-CLASS READING COMPETITION ENCOURAGES THE HABIT OF READING
To create a reading culture and encourage students to become engaged and motivated readers, an 'intra-class reading competition' was conducted for students at Presidium, Noida. The students were assessed on the basis of clarity/diction, confidence, voice modulation, audibility/pronunciation and overall presentation. All the students read the stories from the textbooks with great confidence and clarity. Everyone was engrossed in the activity and learnt to be a good listener and speaker. The judges were impressed and encouraged the students to read on a regular basis to hone their reading skills.
FUN-FILLED DANCE CONTEST CAPTIVATES GRADE NURSERY & PREP STUDENTS
Dance is one of the best art forms which focus on overall development of children, Considering this, a fun-filled dance competition was organized for grade nursery and prep students at Presidium, Noida 31. Dressed-up very nicely in costumes according to their songs, the little Presidians participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Resplendent with excitement on performing on the stage, the students really enjoyed the whole experience.

Devoted to strengthening the idea of peace, both within and among all the nations and people, the International Day of Peace 2017 featured the theme - 'together for peace, respect, safety and dignity for all'. To observe this day, our young Presidians from Noida 31 recently organized a special assembly, wherein they showcased the power of peace through beautiful performances. Inspiring the audience to fulfill the common humanity goals, the 'leaders of tomorrow' had an impeccable experience.
PRESIDIUM NOIDA PROUDLY PLEDGES ITS SUPPORT TO 'RALLY FOR RIVERS'
Rivers are the lifeline of every civilization!
Presidium has always striven to carve its young students into the 'leaders of tomorrow', who can establish sustainable development. To raise awareness about the importance of reviving our dying rivers, a special assembly was recently organized by Presidium Noida. Telling about the noble cause of 'Rally for Rivers' campaign, flagged by Sadhguru's Isha foundation, the teachers inspired young Presidians to come forward and join hands to change the face of this critical situation. Students pledged that they will spread the message sent by Sudha ma'am and create a better place to live in.

To salute the ever-guiding mentors, the students of Presidium Noida organized a special assembly on the occasion of Teacher's Day. They wished them with all their hearts and displayed various performances in order to honour the profession that creates all the other professions. Overjoyed to have received heaps of respect and acknowledgement, the teachers showered their loving students with their warm blessings. It was a splendid day full of golden memories for all!
INTER-CLASS POSTER MAKING: PRESIDIANS CREATE SOCIAL AWARENESS
Art is something that makes you breath with a different kind of happiness!
Discussing social issues in everyday life helps create awareness and better understanding of problems regarding their exact nature and causes. To take a step closer towards the progress of students and build their views and thoughts about social issues, an 'inter-class poster making competition' was organised for grades 4 and 5 students by Presidium, Noida 31. The topics were closely related to the major issues prevalent in society like 'swachh bharat', 'women safety' and 'save ozone layer'. The students enhanced their posters by writing beautiful slogans and quotes. One could see and feel the enthusiasm that the children had in their presentation. It inspired them to think and work creatively in order to promote artistic excellence.
INTRA-CLASS SPELLATHON: PRESIDIANS EMERGE AS SKILLED LINGUISTS
Spellings improve reading and writing fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Learning and revising spellings helps to cement the connection between letters and their sounds. Realizing that a 'spellathon' is a unique way of raising vocabulary in addition to showing our students the importance of correct spellings, Presidium Noida recently organized an 'intra-class spellathon competition', which consisted of six rounds. The students learnt the phonetics and correct pronunciation of different words. The competition motivated children to take keen interest in enriching their vocabulary and pronunciation skills to become effective and impressive communicators in their near future.
