World Kidney Day is celebrated every year with an aim to raise awareness on the importance of kidneys for our health and to reduce the impact of renal diseases and their associated health problems. Students of grade 3 conducted an assembly to spread information about the functions of kidneys and the health issues that one can face in case of kidney failure. They were also encouraged to understand the importance of prevention of kidney related problems. They learned about people who struggle with the disease, and also found about dialysis, donation and organ transplantation. Students also shared details about the importance of drinking water and avoiding certain food items in order to have healthy kidneys and healthy life. They also made posters to present important information about the causes and symptoms of kidney diseases.
